The differential of the YIKONG YK4082 v3 is designed to be quite intuitive and usually comes with a manual to guide you step by step during installation. In general, the process is not complicated. You just need to remove the body shell, take off the relevant parts, and then follow the steps to install the differential. The differential of the YIKONG YK4082 v3 includes the following parts: differential cup, differential gears, drive gears, differential housing, planetary gear shafts, flat head screws, 2.5*6 screws, 21*15*4 and 1812*4 bearings, and four planetary gears.
The installation steps are as follows:
First, install the differential gears onto the drive cup, securing it with a screwdriver to prevent slipping while tightening the screws.
Then, place the short drive cup inside the differential housing and insert the planetary gears into the housing. Tighten them slightly to check for smooth movement.
Apply differential oil to the second drive cup gear and press it onto the planetary gears. Rotate to lubricate the gears.
Next, place the loose cover on top and tighten the four screws. After installation, rotate the gears to check if they run smoothly.
Finally, install the bearings on both ends of the differential.
