The Yikong YK4082V3 version is also the most expensive car I have ever bought so far, but it is not as perfect as I imagined.
Briefly speaking, for the Yikong YK4082V3, a 1:8 scale model, the size is indeed very large. Comparing it with a 1:24 scale model will be more intuitive.
The workmanship and details are fairly good, and the glossiness of the paint is also great.
The overall degree of simulation is still quite high.
The rubber tires are moderately soft and hard. The differential is also very smooth, but one side of the tire will shake a little. Although the actual impact is not significant, it is a bit annoying.
The metal girder tie rods and transmission shaft, and the axle of the vehicle bridge with a decent appearance.
The design of the front and rear portal axles also greatly increases its trafficability. Metal adjustable hydraulic shock absorption. The original factory posture is also great.
Plus, the structure design of the base has a push rod. The steering tie rod has a piston, which can reduce the stress on the base arm when impacted.
Although it is a magnetic opening and closing method, there is almost no magnetic force.
It still needs to be fixed by the screws on the chassis.
The 880 ESC and 775 motor are placed at the front section of the vehicle body.
The battery compartment is also basically in the middle of the vehicle body.
The wiring and layout are also very neat. The receiver has also been treated for dustproof and waterproof, including a shifting base and two differential lock bases.
In general, the overall configuration is relatively high, and the texture and materials are really great. The workmanship of the remote controller is average, and the feel is okay.
The linked light set includes headlights, turn signals, brake lights, reverse lights and bottom lights. You can switch and turn them on and off through the remote controller.
The response speed and sensitivity of the base are also very good, and the low-speed linearity of the throttle is also great.
But there are two points about this car that I have to complain about.
The first one is the spare tire. It’s fine if you don’t bring a spare tire.
Then don’t give me the spare tire bracket. If I need it, I will buy it myself. Then what’s the point of giving me a spare tire bracket installed on the car without a spare tire? And this bracket is also very difficult to remove.
The second one is that the gear sound in the original factory state is really loud, which greatly affects the experience.
As a 1:8 scale model, there is definitely no problem with its crossing and crawling. The posture is also great, and the configuration is very high. The mechanical quality and electronic equipment of the whole vehicle are very good. But can these small points be optimized again?
